In the making of "FIESTA ng OWWA at HATID SAYA sa BAHRAIN 2009" which organised by Triskelion International - Kingdom of Bahrain in collaboration with the The Philippine Embassy and POLO-OWWA Bahrain.
The event will feature Filipino games, practices, dances, songs, foods and all sorts of merry making, the highlight of our celebration is the parade around some streets in Manama of beautiful Filipinas (called flowers of May) with their escorts, clod in the best Filipino outfit on Friday, May 22, 2009, showstarts @ 1.00 PM.
Phase: [1] We have at this point a preliminary program. [2] Confirmation of affiliates through the request of our Welfare Officer, Mrs. Alice Lim 3974.7687. [3] Invitation to the United Nations Information Centre 17.311.676 [4] We draw up quick fix poster for authorization to; The Ministry of Tourism 17.227.555 and Ministry of Information 17.871.111 [5] Delmon International Hotel management agreed to make use of their facilities as our fundamental venue and support letter from the Phil. Embassy is now available [6] Working out of monitoring list for the following: [a] Financial statements/Solicitations [b] Acoustic classifications [c] Catering [d] Official inscription (Token of appreciation) [e] Security access identification and public security police [f] Streamer and stage set [g] Weather forecast [h] Games [7] Committee is voted.
The celebration is aimed at the following: [1] Strengthen the unity and camaraderie among all Filipinos in the Kingdom of Bahrain [2] Share our culture with good people of Bahrain and [3] Support scholarship program of our government called "OWWA-Tuloy Aral Program" for the underprivileged and deserving boys and girls who do not have the means to acquire elementary, high school and college education. http://www.owwa.gov.ph./page/programs/
