The Philippines. The Sorority was formed by adapting the letters Tau "Т", Gamma "Γ" and Sigma "Σ" from the Greek alphabet, which stands for Triskelions’ Grand Sorority, they are now officially the sister organization of the Triskelions’ Grand Fraternity, the Tau Gamma Phi, and henceforth shall be called and known as The Lady Triskelions, and the rest is history.

Most of the founding members of U.P. Tau Gamma Sigma also belonged to the U.P. Political Science Club along with the Founding Fathers and Founders Batch of the Tau Gamma Phi. And so on January 17, 1969, "The Lady Triskelions" were born with notable members such as the Honorable Associate Justice of the Philippine Court of Appeals, Associate Judge Rosmari Carandang, the Ambassadress of the Philippines to Switzerland and Norway, Ambassador Victoria Bataclan, the Commissioner of the Commission on Elections, Cmsr. Luzviminda Tanchangco, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (Philippines) Deputy Commissioner, Cmsr. Lucita "Babes" Rodriguez.

Blood donation initiative was the organisation’s maiden project this year. It regularly holds different events every month with the aim of extending assistance to the needy. “Maybe our biggest achievement last year was raising money to help the typhoon victims in the Philippines and a patient who underwent dialysis here,” said Sis. Candice Sigua, one of the officials of the organisation. It is planning another outreach programme in cooperation with the Filipino Nurses Association in Qatar to hold a medical mission on August 7 that it would consist of consultation, dental services and distribution of free medicines.

Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 3rd Lion’s Cup Women’s Volleyball Tournament; Grand Ceremonial Opening held January 16 which organized by TΓΣ of TAO-KSA Councils. The tourney was graced by the Philippine Ambassador, Antonio P. Villamor, various community leaders and officials representating the participanting teams. Villamor applauded the group for their activities. “I am indeed happy to see more activities that enhance camaraderie and fitness among our countrymen here” Villamor said during the opening ceremony.
