Sizzly packed opening of Zain Pinoy Basketball Charity Tournament 2008 held on Friday, November 28 at Riffa Sports Club from 9am to 9pm, participated by 38 teams overall.

Regular games start on December 5 at Ettihad Club, beneficiary of the project are the Filipino’s housed at POLO-OWWA & RIA. Organized by Legend Promotion wth the support of Pinoy Community Group Bahrain.

Wednesday, December 17, Ms. Philippines-Bahrain 2008, competition is organised by the Filipino Club and FC-Sayaw Unlimited at 7pm, Gilgames Hall, Golden Tulip Hotel for the benefit of the Bahrain Society for Children with Communication & Behavioral Difficulties and distressed workers in POLO-OWWA, Bahrain.

Join hands for a Cause

Triskelion International Kingdom of Bahrain (TI-KoB), The Filipino Club (FC), and Bulakenio International Association (FCBIA), in  cooperation with FC Ispektrum Artist Group (FCIAG), is  spearheading a back o back concert entitled "Pinoy Bands in Concert 2008".

The charity concert will be a two part event, the first cause draws a huge crowd was held last November 14, Friday at the Delmon International Hotel’s poolside, Manama, supported by Filipino groups, including Hip2Soul Band (Ramee International Hotel), SketchworX Band (Windsor Tower Hotel), Day 7 Band (Al Bustan Hotel), Highlights Band (Metropolitan Hotel), 1 Shot Band (Adhari Hotel) and Club8 Band (Delmon International Hotel) and hosted by DJ Mastahbone from RockBottom CafŽ and Ms. Leslie Garduque of Phenomena Productions.

Part 1 proceeds will used for various socio-civic projects which include the following:  FCBIA’s Educational Assistance Project (which aims to uplift the educational standards in selected local schools in the Philippines through the provision of educational audio-visual equipment; the Filipino Club’s Mabuhay Project (which aims to support the proposed new FC Mabuhay office); the  FCIAG’s Overseas Workers Welfare program (which aims to support distressed workers); and support for Bahrain disabled.

TI-KoB will be in charge in Pinoy Bands in Concert 2008: Part 2 which will be held on December 16, Tuesday at the Ramada Palace Auditorium in Gudaibiya at 2pm in collaboration of the Philippine Embassy, Ancop GK-Bahrain, Mediacom, AyalaLand, Al Abraaj Restaurant, Hotpot & Montro Restaurants, FilEx Cargo and Gulf Photographers Network. Various Filipino bands from different hotels in the Kingdom will lend their time and support on this worthwhile project.


Pinoy Bands in Concert is the fourth time that the Triskelions International Kingdom of Bahrain (TIKoB) has endeavored for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga – a Filipino international non-government organization that is geared towards the provision of houses to the marginalized sector of the Philippines. Pagpupugay sa Kulturang Filipino

The Triskelion International Kingdom of Bahrain Council recently held a Dental Outreach and On the Spot Painting Contest (OSPC) dubbed as, "Pagpupugay sa Kulturang Filipino".

Chrystelle Dane B. Pachoco topped the junior division awarded while Renee Hannah C. Alviar took the number one spot in the senior division.

The organizers expressed their deepest appreciation to all those who participated in the event and profusely thanked the parents, teachers, and board of judges which is composed of  Dr. Geronimo Salem, the school principal and Dr. Sonny Dipasupil & Dr. Liza Siwa.

The OSPC 2008 certificates will be awarded to the respective recipients on November 14, the same day that The Philippine School (Bahrain) PSB will be celebrating its 14th Foundation Day.BGAtienza”
