175 attend free medication camp

Free medication was given at the medical mission held at the Philippines Overseas Working Welfare Association (OWWA) with the attendance of 175 people. Angie Villanueva, president of Tau Gamma Sigma, told Bahrain Tribune, “175 people showed up for the mission. Most of the people who came were Filipino workers and the tenants are staying at the shelter.”
The fifth annual medical mission organised by Triskelion International, Kingdom of Bahrain (TI-KOB), was held on Friday and had a CPR demonstration. Free medicine was donated from different clinics. The doctors and nurses who helped and checked the patients were volunteers from different hospitals and clinics. Free discount cards from the Shifa Clinic were given away.
Brod Mark ‘TOKS’ Toquero the chairman of the event said, “Every time we conduct a medical mission, it turns out very successful. The mission also celebrated 40th anniversary of Tau Gamma Phi. The first medical mission started in year 2004, since then it has carried on until this year. Since then supporters and participants have always joined the event. This year Mark Toquero headed it.
The main sponsors were Bahrain Financing Company, PHILAM Bahrain, Montro Restaurant, Al Noor Pharmacy, Al Shifa Hospital/Pharmacy, Bahrain Optician and Rabaxy Pharmacy.
