Triskelion International, Kingdom of Bahrain Tau Gamma Sigma, organised a small event at the OWWA shelter at the Philippines embassy on Thursday (28.August.2008) from 6am and to 2am. A band from the Philippines played for two hours at the shelter.

Triskelion International member John Bitiun said, “The people at the shelter don’t have the ability to go out and enjoy so we brought all this to them to have them forget the problems they face and entertain them.” The shelter’s members played games, received goodies and gifts and attended a dinner arranged by a sponsor.

“The members forgot their problems for a day, most of them are new and it was their first time to see a band in Bahrain, they enjoyed it,” shelter volunteer Ronea Go Arcega said.

The event organiser donated BD75 (PHP9,000.00) to Sally, the longest staying member at the shelter to help her pay the amount demanded by her agency to enable her to return home.

-==TRISKELION BAHRAIN GROUP HUG==-Triskelion International donated to the embassy an oil painting, entitled "Ang Mamatay nang Dahil sa Iyo" (I die because of you) drawn by Butch Paje, one of its members. The event ended with shelter members dancing to music played by a disc jockey.
