TGF 39 years!
One of the Greek Alphabet Society the “Tau Gamma Phi”, was formally entered into 39th Founding Anniversary which we celebrate throughout the world and embracing the TGF year theme: “One step towards the leap to fraternal excellence”
What would you have missed if you hadn’t attended the celebration of Triskelions at POLO-OWWA (Philippine Overseas Labour Office - Overseas Workers Welfare Administration)? This remarkable event was held on Sunday, October 4th, 2007 from 8:00pm-5:00am.
From the moment of arrival on that cool October evening, One could sense the spirit of Camaraderie at the pool side, some fraternity members were there with friendly greetings for all who drop–by, and shook hand in a Triskelion format. You also could catch the scent of perfume and aftershave as the well favorite color dressed with insignia of attendees crossed the polished marble floor and elegantly furnished central area to the porch area. At the porte-cochere, one could catch your eyes is the dramatic entrance of one of our cute colleagues and with her newly found beautiful Sigma.
Re-entering the main door, a large living room serve as the sitting area of the Guest and members and from there your ears would pick up the song of the guitar played by Fb Dino Cudiamat together with his company glancing across. On the far side you notice one spot light streaming into the long table and highlighting the beautiful slab cake with TGF logo plus the Filipino dishes.
As time passed and people gathered, the sound of conversation, fading the music. People were sitting , numbers grew plus the people from OWWA milling about the entire ground floor.
Our new Grand Triskelion (President) Al Biala, took a minute to blessed the food and to welcome everyone and to announce another incoming project on November 9, 2007 which is the Medical Mission 4, an official project in cooperation with medical practitioner from different organizations. Also in the floor we have our very own Philippine Ambassador Eduardo Maglaya who greeted, mingle and took few a words for us.
What would you have missed if you had not attended? Here are few comments from of those who did. “Get acquaintance to the group of professionals”, ‘Having mix up, fun and crazy”, “A great reunion of fraternity members who haven’t seen each other for a long time.”
Generally speaking, I think we were all glad that we had not missed the opportunity to celebrate our achievement!
Our sincere thanks to go out to the Anniversary committee: Fb’s Vic and John B, DGT Bench, CMT Jeff Soliven and to our Sorority have showered their concern for the society. Especially we want to thank the officers of POLO-OWWA for marvelous accommodation to make this occasion memorable.
