Triskelion Brothers and Sisters will be attending a mass at the Sacred_Heart_Church in thanksgiving to our fruitful endeavors as well as in prayers for our fellow Triskelions who are currently experiencing difficult situations especially to Bro. Ronnie Repancol (TI-KoB), Bro Amang Angeles (TI-KoB) , Bro. Don Lanuza (Saudi), and to all our brothers and sisters in the Triskelion Spirit. "Treat your neighbor as you would treat yourself".

Grizzlers and Jewellers top

THE Mindoro Grizzlers and New Jumbo Jewellers clinched their respective division championships last Friday on the final day of the second Ria’s Cup Charity Basketball Tournament, played at the Muharraq Club gym in Arad.

The Grizzlers took the second division title after defeating Gulf Computer Services 69-57, while the Jewellers clinched the first division crown with a comfortable 88-70 victory over Ramsis Engineering.

Completing the top four in each group were i-Remit in third and Bahay Kubo Restaurant in fourth position in the second division, and Mediacom Karaoke in third and Toyota in fourth in the first division.

Also last Friday, guest team New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) recorded a 92-75 rout over a select team of Ria’s All-Stars in an exhibition game.

The games were followed by the awarding ceremony, where Mark Artista of Mediacom was presented the Most Valuable Player (MVP) trophy after securing the scoring title for the second straight tournament.

Also recipients of individual honours were Jake Villanueva, Ivan Samson, Mark Maglalang, Pete Ramos and George Pantaleon, who were each named to tournament’s ‘Mythical Five’. The Best Coaches awards were presented to Cesar Sadiego and Chris Lagan, while the Al Ghalia cagers were named the Most Sportsmanlike Team.

Organisers announced that the third Ria’s Cup tournament will tip off some time within the next few months after the culmination of the Filipino Club Basketball Tournament.

"GCS enter charity basketball final"

GCS brought down Iremit 81-67 to barge into the Division 2 finals of the 2nd RIA’S Cup Charity Basketball Tournament being held at the Muharraq Club.

GCS, who banked heavily on Alvin Hernandez, Marlon dela Cruz and Ivan Samson to score the victory, will face early finalists Mindoro for the title at 10am tomorrow.

New Jumbo Jewellers and Ramsis Engineering earned the right to meet in the finals of Division 1. They were actually tied with Toyota in the standing after the semifinals but they got the better quotients over the latter, who earlier lost to Mediacom, to set the stage for the title showdown.

The participating teams in the tournament include (Inter Commercial division) Al Ghalia, Bahay Kubo Restaurant, Cebarco-WCT, Chuckay Restaurant, Jonis Bakery, Expat Restaurant, GCS, Iremit, Jasmis, Mediacom Karaoke, Mindoro Grisller’s, new Jumbo Jewellers, NYIT, Oriental Supermarket, Pinoy Turo-Turo, Restaurant, Ramsis Engineering, Toyota, Triskelion & TSF; (Inter Hotel) Al Ghalia, Crown Plaza Hotel, Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Gulf Hotel, Jawad/Chilis, regency Intercontinental Hotel, Ritz Carlton Hotel & Spa and Sheraton Hotel.

The awarding ceremony will be held after the final. Entrance fee is 200 fils.

  On June 24, 2007, the Triskelion International–Kingdom of Bahrain (TI-KoB) will be celebrating its 3rd Year Anniversary.
A tentative venue will be at a villa with a swimming pool in Juffair on the 22nd of June or in Khamis Holiday Home on the 27th.
A simple get-together at daytime with the circulation of Fiesta ng Owwa Certificates and surprise awards in the evening for the Grand Council of 2007 with their families and network of volunteers.
